i was thinking about if he'd use special sebastian shaped emoticons like .:} and }:. and im honestly 50/50 i can see him thinking they're funny but i can also see him not wanting to think about the fact that he's a fish now and no longer human

in general i think he has a lot of identity issues. He literally NEVER brings up the fact that he is fish-esque besides telling us that he's not going to hurt us, and telling us items are on his tail. I think if he was more comfortable with his identity he might occasionally crack a joke but I think deep down he has a mask up emotionally where he tries to forget about it all.

and that mask CRACKS a little when players repeatedly climb on him!! it brings back hard memories for him and that's the most upset we ever hear him.. he doesn't even get that upset when he kills you for flash beaconing him twice.. you can fucking hear the hurt in gianni's voice acting and its just SO . AGH.

past / pre-breakout

i like thinking about what they had him get up to as an LR-P and MR-P a lot. What if they had him assemble furniture to get him used to his new 3rd arm. He thinks he's getting new furniture for his cell but then they take it away and put it in the break room and he gets SO ANNOYED. Then the 2nd furniture they have him do he assembles it and then throws it at the observation room at the top of his cell.

He'd get a game console for like one day to ensure his mental capabilities are the same as before the experimentation and for like 2 years after that day he misses his video games until he gets to play games again when he's promoted to MR-P

I feel like near the very start of things just to get a whole overview of like everything that's changed about him even if gills is only what they really gaf about (million dollar fish might as well see what your money did) they'd be testing a lot of basic stuff. Like taste. And they'd give him some normal food of different types of tastes to see if he's lost any taste receptors and he'd be like so happy but then intentionally one of the foods is really bad. And he gets so mad

i headcanon he did dual enrollment (college+hs) since he switched his college major from business to engineering and he's only 19. And that he was a massive nerd... unfortunately his fishtuation has changed him :(

there is a massive urbanshade in-network group chat/email chain for the scientists. There are a lot of inside jokes and a lot are at sebastians expense

His first request for birthday food was like a recipe his mom made a lot and he got it and it was horrible and barely seasoned because urbanshade is the worst and also they are in Norway and he is NOT going to get properly cooked authentic chilean food. And he never requested chilean food again :( Didn't want to be disappointed

i don't think he truly realizes how big he is and if he ever gets a real human frame of reference he's going to get extremely upset about it (if he was already on edge from something else.. he's practiced at hiding/burying his emotions). The blacksite doesn't have a ton of normal size comparison things for him besides smaller human objects and humans themselves, everything is sorta larger than life there and he might feel quite big but I don't think he has a proper idea of the real scale.

Even if he escapes, even if he could deal with all the problems that come from being a snake/mermaid/fishmonster guy. He is still way too big to fit in any normal human spaces. He is truly screwed unless he can get turned back human by innovation inc...

even if he does get turned back human by innovation inc he's going to have to relive his trauma all over again. i think about that a lot

i think he'd also be conflicted on turning back human like it's the one thing he's wanted for the past 10 years but also.. He's been like this for so long.. he doesn't really feel like Sebastian the kid with a guitar that liked Metallica. He's Sebastian Solace the Saboteur… The dangerous fish man who's been forced to kill a few people out of necessity (and indirectly cause the deaths of a few hundred others)

i think he'd get phantom limb pains from his 3rd arm if he lost it in the human transformation. Like he isn't even supposed to HAVE that arm as a person and yet his brain still expects it to be there. He keeps trying to use it and then it's gone

When he first meets his family again for the first time after he escapes I think he wouldn't be human yet. Before he lets them see him he like speaks to them from behind a door or something… To try and prepare them. He's really nervous about seeing them all again because he absolutely cares about them just the same but he just feels like an outsider now.. he's changed so much

All he wants is to get back to a normal life but, normal human life doesn't feel normal to him anymore. He almost misses the monotony of the blacksite. I feel like innovation inc would take a few months-year to get him turned back and he might try working for them in that time to try and adjust to being out of urbanshade since it feels familiar to him and they're more equipped to deal with a giant fish man than his family's home. But ever so often things there remind him of urbanshade and he goes back to feeling like he's about to be shot on sight.

silver spiny fins are some of the best vertebrates at seeing color in low light conditions! i think he has that trait from them

mantis shrimp like to burrow. I think he has some kind of instinct where he feels more at home in small enclosed spaces (he loves blankets)

what if his upper body had sandpaper shark scales. i dont want to put him through that because can you imagine putting on a cotton shirt with sandpaper skin???? too cruel. but its fun to think about

i think he molts but its only like once a year. The first time he does it he has like absolutely no idea that's what's happening he's just like insanely itchy or something and then he realizes his tail skin has PEELED OFF and he's like (HORRIFIED) but then realizes what's going on . And then it takes forever for him to get it all off and he just stares at it like Eugh after

the second time he realizes he can use the shed to screw with the researchers. Researcher walks in his heavy containment cell in the morning and there's just like a massive translucent crumpled version of him in the corner and they just scream before realizing 2 seconds later

Do you agree with the colouring in LO? because seeing Leuce(?) In the recent LR episode reminded me of an edit I saw a while back where Leuce's colouring resembled more like white poplar than the light pink she actually got. Imo it would've made more sense (especially for the characters with "real world" counterparts) to have different colouring like Leuce being white or Minthe being green

I actually did something sneaky with possibly-Leuce cough cough but I'm waiting to see if anyone picks up on it themselves haha

I do agree though that more could have been done with diversifying the colors of the characters, I mean for god's sakes most of them are pulled from the same 3 colors of pink, blue, and and green. Often times it results in the gods looking more like body painted people rather than actual ethereal gods with unique powers and identities.

Even Minthe, while I can understand she's a river nymph in LO, could have been given some elements of green after being turned into a mint plant. Like damn, do something to diversify your characters a bit, character development can include the physical body, too. We had that for a little bit with Persephone's green hands but then nope, Rachel couldn't have Persephone living with green hands so she had Metis magically heal them for zero reason at all. Ugh. LO very much forgets the visual part of comics.

Haha I also used the dickless bore. I thought that only the two main characters came back didn't know he did as well. I still don't buy him ever being into her but that's just me I do wonder if he's going to try and kill her again. I do think Li Rong is treating him too well for my liking she should at least treat hit similarly or worse than she treated ML I want to see wet paper towel non stop suffer.

on one hand, imo a SRQ who is heartless doesn't work for the story the writer is trying to share with us. On the other hand, it's totally ok to decide to be a full-time hater towards a minor character, just because it's fun. I support haters! 🎉 \o/ 🎉

One thing that I think is relevant when comparing LR's reactions: if PWX had killed her, the motive would have been as part of his mission to have his childhood love Qin Zhenzhen's son become the next emperor. (Remember, he came over to threaten her life over that right before she died and called his ex Zhenzhen lmao) THE AUDACITY. In contrast, LR is viewing her murder at SRQ's hands as part of the revenge plan for the Su family's execution.

Pei Wenxuan turned the fish over and looked at her with a smile, seemingly quite happy. Li Rong found that he had a fearless, unabashed look of enjoying a good play and couldn’t help but be a little fazed.

She believed everything Pei Wenxuan said.

Su Rongqing was someone that she saved with her own hands.

That year, Prince Su rebelled, and Su Rongqing’s elder brother spoke up for Prince Su. Later on, he was falsely accused of colluding with Prince Su, implicating the Su clan with treason.

At that time, Li Chuan was so furious that he fainted. He put the entire Su clan in prison without going through the Joint Trial of Three Divisions first and put the men to death and the women into exile. She disagreed with this decision and rushed to beg Li Chuan before the Su clan received their sentence. After being subjected to ten planks, with Pei Wenxuan’s intervention, she was finally able to ask for amnesty for the Su clan.

Even if the death sentences can be forgone, it was impossible to escape punishment while still alive. Even though the men of the Su clan could live, they would be subjected to castration. Early game LR pacing for a Durge

Dunno who needs it aside from my own forgetful self and a couple of my friends, who found it helpful when pacing their Durge runs. But here's how to get some of the fun early game cutscenes and interactions (and approval opportunities!) with companions that are often get missed because too much is going on when you're a Bhaalspawn.

Recruit everyone around the nautiloid - 1st Long Rest - talk to Lae'zel, then Astarion, then Shadowheart, then Gale (otherwise Astarion won't talk).

Get Withers - 2nd Long Rest - Talk to Gale, then Astarion, then everyone else.

Reach the Grove - Talk to everyone at the entrance, durge the squirrel if you want a small little convo with Astarion that's otherwise unavailable (have Animal Speaking on or avoid the squirrel altogether if you'd rather not) - 3rd Long Rest - Astarion's Bite Night.

Talk to everyone except Zorru or Kagha - 4th Long Rest - Fun convo with Astarion, small scene with Shadowheart.

Talk to Zorru and/or Kagha, interact with anyone you want except Alfira - 5th Long Rest - Cutscenes with Astarion and Shadowheart. Everyone else has something to say too.

Explore the rest of the Grove, interact with Alfira - 6th Long Rest - "Drunk" Astarion scene and a lot of other little important conversations. That's where you may want to warn companions about your urges ;)

Next night - 7th Long Rest - is The Urge Grand Debut Night so depending on what you want to do: - Choose one of underground camps if you're not planning to get rid of the body (owlbear cave or tollhouse are good options). - Knock Alfira out before going to camp if you want to meet/durge Quil instead.

You may want to make 8th Long Rest sometime before heading to Goblin Camp to meet your ever-adoring butler because otherwise Dream Visitor will be hogging screentime for the next couple of nights. Afther this point pacing is less crucial. Have your bloody fun!

Lindenhurst.

I lived in Brentwood for much of my timeline; mostly at my childhood home and later moved down the road not too far away post-Stony Brook. The latter move was a result of me refusing to move down to Myrtle Beach with my parents. I never had any desire to leave New York State and I never had enough of visiting New York City. Around the time, the economy plundered. I went broke and applied for the first job opportunity that was open in order to survive. I had no idea that place would ruin me. For most of the time at the second Brentwood residency, I wasn’t feeling 100% because of constant targeting of management and their crony co-workers. It took me a while to get back on track and eventually whatever I lost I gained back and more. I discovered a few key artists that made me see the light. I got back into broadcasting with a new radio show, and I finally re-united with Cath- whom I haven’t seen in a few years due to her addiction and sordid history.

But, some things turn sour that’s not your fault. Ma’ commits suicide and your dad ends up moving back in with you. You end up working two jobs without a day-off in near vicinity. Cath-’s #1 dies of a heroin overdose and she cuts off all ties from you with absolutely no reason given. Your unemployed gamer landlord doesn’t put in his fair share of rent and utilities, so you end up with no internet and you’re literally freezing because there’s no running heat or hot water for all of winter. Of all the major events going on, that final one had my bro- take notice. He was living with his lady and their first-born in Lindenhurst. He felt so bad learning I was living with no utilities that he not only offered me to move in with him to Lindenhurst but also into a new house. I shouldn’t say ‘offered’. He told me so. Sure. I wasn’t complaining.

I had about a week to pack up all the loose ends and was told to take out all my records, discs, cassettes, VHS tapes, and DVDs from the drawers and throw them in giant bins. Him and his friends managed to lift all the furniture up out of the old Brentwood residency and into the new one in Lindenhurst. It was my duty to take some of the smaller boxes of personals to stuff in the trunk, back seat, and passengers’ seat of my car.

I’d be leaving behind the un-mopped dingy floors, the eventual basement floods, and the other disused soot-ridden rooms which the former random inhabitants lived in. One ‘neighbor’ who lived in the adjacent room from me came home on the weekends totally wasted that he collapsed face first on the floor as soon as he walked in. He almost caused a house fire by forgetting the bag of popcorn he was cooking in the microwave. And the best one – get ready for this - was when a fully nude lady almost walked into my room. It was his prostitute looking for him. Jesus Fucking Christ.

I went to work and was told by my bro- that everything would be moved in the same day, so just come to the new house in Lindenhurst. I had no idea how good I had it. My new room was up on the second floor and triple the size of my previous one. Carpeted floors. Windows that faced the peeking sun. Low-flying passenger jets. A wider, larger closet space, and a pair of smaller doors revealing an attic for storage. Plus, being in Lindenhurst meant that three record stores were in near vicinity: West Babylon’s Looney Tunes, Amityville’s High Fidelity, and Massapequa’s Infinity Records. Lindenhurst had quickly become a favorite place to live in.

I arrived from work on a sunny 70* Sunday. June 1st to be exact. Most of what I kept from my childhood home and the previous residency came with me to Lindenhurst such as a gumball machine, my gramma’s Lafayette LR-810 receiver, and a massive Philips 24” CRT TV that would paralyze anyone attempting to lift it. All of it was there and a few boxes of my audio / video library. I wasn’t interested in unpacking. Not just yet. Our wi-fi network was set-up. That was the most important thing to me. I haven’t had consistent wi-fi in six months. The first thing I looked up was to see how Cath- was doing despite her taking everything we had and throwing out the trash as if it was nothing. Good news: she’s started a new life solo in Arizona and has been clean for one month.

The first finds to mark my new stay in Lindenhurst? Someone had posted Pharmakon’s “Xia Xinfeng” where her murderous screams break through a fully-running frigidly cold hum. I was sold instantly. The vinyl-finds groups lead me to Mass Production and Peter Brown; soul-jazz and pop respectively. I stuck with the L.I.E.S. label after fully enjoying Ron Morelli’s solos for a quite a while, all released through Dominick Fernow’s Hospital Productions. His label compilation, Music For Shut-Ins, supplied Samantha’s Vacation, Svengalisghost, and Legowelt. Omar Souleyman started gaining a name for himself in the states. Experiencing “Kell Il Banat Inkhatban (All The Girls Are Engaged)“ is truly something. I never heard keyboards go that crazy. Then we have WUSB’s own Alice, dee-jay of Nightmare Aquarium. Without her, I wouldn’t have known who Ariel Pink and William Onyeabor were. I credit her for introducing me to the magically sublime Black Marble.

Nary did I have a day off during that Summer I moved in. I could only count four…maybe six total. The electronics place finally gave me full time, double-dealing between that and part-time at the Italian market. The only stand-out moment I had during the hotter months was getting lost somewhere in the sunny woodsy section of Mastic looking for Nicole’s residency which I did find an hour late. Nowadays, one listen to A Different Arrangement instantly takes me back to those June Sundays.

Autumn came. The days were getting cooler and darker. Driving past Argyle Pond coming home from work became a staple memory with synthwave vibes of “Fright Night” from Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti forever attached to it. Hospital Productions gave me another artist to savor in the Italian-based Ninos Du Brasil  with their dying-hot exotic techno sounds. Suicideyear would be distinct to the season and to Lindenhurst alone which makes their sound personal in my book. Another neighborhood memory, Dual Action’s “NC-17 Drive In”, is forever intertwined to the Autumn soul. Our WUSB hip-hop dee-jay Dr. Ceus played me SpaceGhostPurrp’s “Mystical Maze” adding another bookmark in this asterisk time. Mono/Poly’s “Alpha Omega”, Lussuria’s “Mondo Narcotico” and “Keys To Unlock Paradise (Roman Showers)” from American Babylon,Function & Vatican Shadow’s Games Have Rules, the obscure Axxa/Abraxas’ “Waiting Daze”, and selections from The Bug’s Angels & Devils left their imprints on another feel-good season at Lindenhurst.

Before I knew it, my streak of 83 straight days of work was finally broken a few days before Thanksgiving. I came to visit the market for my hours to see that I was written out of the grid. Week after week it became a normal occurrence. I’ve been giving them my other hours in time without fail but now no more results. No discussion, no rhyme or reason why. I was let go without any notice. It was a blessing, however. A soft end to six years of non-stop belittling, boys-club behavior, and endless soul-torturing has finally been put down to die.

Winter was where things started to get fucked for discoveries; like the ‘parenthesis’ in an equation. My ex- Yenny is leaving for Lima and she’s asked me to house-sit for her in Hauppauge. A two-week stay meant all music discoveries default there. A residency inside a residency. Before and after, XXYYXX’s only full-length and two finds from the Ze label Xmas Record, Suicide’s “Hey Lord” and Alan Vega’s “No More Christmas Blues” are embedded in those frosty, chilly Winter days back in Lindy-. The latter two would be put on pause as I walked a couple of blocks to the bagel place for a heavy baked breaded breakfast.

Then came a March announcement from my bro-: we’re moving to Ronkonkoma. This was unexpected. He was excited to start a new point in his life. His lady was expecting their second child and wanted something even nicer than what we have. There was no issue with where we lived. I had none and truly wanted to stay longer. But, what my bro- was selling us on that we’d upgrade from the slightly crowded residential streets, noise-polluting airplanes, and highways across every direction for a gentler, calmer, at-peace setting of historical context, well-manicured lawns, trails, veteran’s parks, and a 4.5 square-mile scenic lake. To me, Ronkonkoma was Record Stop on Portion Road, punk luminary Jimi LaLumia’s Record Connection on Hawkins Road, and what used to be Lakeside’s bar where I’d go for some small-scale but breakout-violent local hardcore shows. Other than LaLumia, none are still standing. It’s a new decade now; far away from the community-college shows and record-buying jaunts from the Stony Brook era. We had up until May 1st   to get everything together. The Lindenhurst finds dwindled down to nothing, and all the discoveries found that Spring ended up at the current residency we’re at now. It was time to say goodbye to my old furniture: the twin-sized bed, the old bookshelves, dressers, drawers, the gumball machine, and the Lafayette that was losing its functionality. We left all the small stuff in front of the gate and left the furniture behind. Goodbye Lindenhurst and hello Ronkonkoma.

I can tell you that my very first experience in the new neighborhood was delightful and exotic. We were only a few blocks away from the new house. My dad had me pull up to our neighborhood 7-11 for his daily coffee. I grab a pack of Hostess chocolate cupcakes and behind the counter I see the perfect ginger. Bright long copper hair, brown eyes, freckles, and all of pale skin. Jackpot. She was a sight to be seen.

There was a line of five people in front of us with two registers open. Dad was more than ready to sip his coffee but was getting restless as the scalding hot was wearing off. Lucky for me, the young Indian kid took care of him. I put my Hostess on the counter for the ginger to ring up. She was quiet, expressionless. Tired, bored, introverted? Who knows. Who cares. She made quick work of my purchase and I was two more cupcakes happier. The day was off to a great start. I didn’t believe people like her existed.

She was my very first memory at the new neighborhood. I still remember her to this very day. There’s some faces you never forget.

Hey just watched the eclipse (we're having one in Canada) do you think any of the aphmau characters would go feral during an eclipse? Zenix gives me the vibes he would freak out and go feral during one, lol.

Some of the more magical.spiritual characters will use the eclipse as a means of doing rituals and such. This can become very feral, depending on the individual, i.e Avra.

I also think the SKs would, just in general. they're all assholes and such. so. brr feral behaviour. different levels, though. Vylad is very chill, maybe a little blood thirsty but he can control that. Zenix is the worst bc he feels no reason to hold back. Once the eclipse is over, one may be habit to find many dead rats wherever Zenix had been

The werewolves get a little funky too, but mostly because they see people get all weird about it and they don't really know how to react. Dog behaviour, in a sense. If the humans are stressed, so are the werewolves, and it is very unfortunate.

Okay, second character which is a roughly done drawing since I was low on coloring stuff.

Now presenting!

Shade!

Shade first appeared at the KING's floor after the 130th loop.

He/Him.

• Shade tends to just wander around the room when the party is not at the KING's floor yet or just sleeps through the fight.

• when the party isn't in the house He will take on bullying the KING as a hobby just to see what faces or expressions (not the deity's from Odile's home) the King would make in response (as shown in this photo)

• the name Shade chose was not random, He just felt a connection to the word Shade and chose it as a name.

• whenever the party defeated the KING, Shade would follow The Royal and try to understand why He felt a connection to Them.

• Shade does NOT, meet LR or Loop at the end of the game, something else happens during ACT 6 that forces Shade to make a choice.

• Shade does not remember the former person that He was, only that He remembered feeling a massive crushing force, the feeling of His very soul being torn out of His heart, and waking up in the KING's floor with a three pointed scar on His stomach.

Now then, now that we finished Shade's info part of the post let's get on into the theory I had.

Let's start off with everyone's favorite resident angsty Traveler, Siffrin.

What do we know about him in terms of childhood and past? Absolutely nothing, but there are moments in the game where his last suddenly made an appearance.

For example, the letter in that secret passageway on the third floor where you would get the chain for that bell pendant or the book that talked about croissants, we don't need a mention the croissants just yet but the letter in the room where you got the jackpot items of tonics, book about horror stories with young men and monsters here's that Mirabel mentions and Isabeau comments on it, and the small little symbol or banner I think for the change belief.

What exactly do we find on the table that is next to said banner or object for the change belief? Three pages (I think) regarding someone running away from home and comforting their mother that they were alright.

There's a small snippet there with Bonnie mentioning that they and their sister Nille ran away in one of the loops but we won't get to that just yet cause this theory is about Siffrin and the King, but still relating to the notes or the letters Siffrin mentions they ran away once as seen in gameplay.

(I will be using pictures that I took during my playthrough of the game) I myself have gotten this dialogue 8 or 12 loops into the gate but still the thought counts, regardless since the other just ask Siffrin what they mean by this followed by Siffrin explaining that they just didn't want to eat their veggies, ran to the docks with their family boat, row a bit from shore... and then he forgets.. now now we know that moment in time would be probably where the country was then removed from everyone's mind or memory, but where would the king had been when this was happening?

My guess is that while this was happening the king was somewhere in Vaugarde or was traveling to other countries, but then something hit me, Siffrin and the letters only mentioned the mother, no father could have been or ever was mentioned which was really confusing because Siffrin really cared about their parents, I may have forgotten about a father might have been mentioned or maybe it was only parents as in a mother and a stepfather, but I refuse to believe that Siffrin would not have had a father ever mentioned or present in any other forgetting memories of their childhood.

Which makes me believe the father was out on business or traveling so that Siffrin could have something to learn about the other countries with, The father might have been traveling from Ka-Bue to Vaugarde right as the country that Siffrin was from suddenly got erased from everyone's memories, either the father was traveling from Ka-Bue to Vaugarde by boat or they were using another means.

Let's pause on Siffrin for a moment and go straight to the KING, what do we know about him? well not much the same as before we don't know much about the KING or Siffrin but what we do know about the king is that he washed up on Vaugarde, was treated with hospitality and kindness by the Vaugardians, stopped by Corbeaux during his travels, and then saw something that triggered the want to wish for a way to make Vaugarde perfect.

My guess on what triggered the king could have been in a piece of Vaugarde suddenly becoming a wreck- and what I mean by that is not like "oh it's suddenly disappeared" no I think what triggered it was the fact that after the country disappeared so did colors.

And no, I'm not saying that colors could have disappeared at the same time as the country I'm suggesting that someone made a wish to remove the vivid image of something, a singular visceral color, from the minds of everyone that was present to have witnessed it.

A wish to remove the memories of blood the very color of blood from anyone that was there to see it, My guess is that a kid accidentally made that wish like maybe the blood had really frightened them and they wanted to not see blood anymore and went to the Favor tree nearby in the town but that backfired, The wish somehow broke and led it to erase of colors being present in the game.

Now I know what you're thinking, I'm getting off track but listen, listen please I'm getting to that part 😅, Don't leave this post yet.

Anyway back to the king after that moment I would have guessed that the king, irritated about what was happening and wanted to save as much of Vaugarde as possible, goes to the strongest favorite tree in all of the country, the one in Dormont.

Obviously with no memory of this country that he came from he decides to just go with what he remembers off of what was built into his mind, Wishcraft was a very common thing I'm guessing that in the country that Siffrin and the king both originate from It's their life core so he goes back on that from what he remembers from a built-in memory of it, He wishes for a way to save Vaugarde or not to save Vaugarde- I'm getting my AUs mixed up 😂 to make Vaugarde a perfect.

And unexpectedly to his surprise the wish comes true, He gains the ability to use timecraft to his demand and starts to freeze all of Vaugarde, what this new power of his He storms the House of Dormont or better yet the house of change, freezes everyone in it including Euphrasie, and just wait for knowing that's the curse would not be reversed unless he was defeated.

Now onto the connection between Siffrin and the king, That's what we know they're connected cause of being from the same country, but what if they were related?

That would put a total shift to Siffrin's perspective, and the fact they don't know or remember where they came from in terms of family or backstory would make it even more heart-wrenching cuz they'd be fighting a relative, they'd be fighting family.

And then there's the book in the room with the ornery (at least I think that's the name of it, the object of the center of that room), it explains that the owner of the book had tried using Wishcraft to make someone to talk to, that person most likely being either Siffrin or another kid that was probably feeling the same loneliness as Them but regardless it was no doubt having to be Siffrin.

If you think about it, if Siffrin had ran away again but from the house of change this time it would explain why it's a book referencing Wishcraft, and I know that it's just from Siffrin being in the time loop for nearly who knows how long but imagine if it was not only that imagine him that's what if Siffrin had remembered something regarding their family, I'm not saying others have to go with what I'm saying It's just a very you can have your own opinion but regardless if Siffrin had remembered something about his family or something about the king it would make sense, for me at least.

For example The book series Mirabelle likes, "The cursing of chateau Castle" could be a reference to the king's story or slight beginning, The main character in the story, Lord Josephándre was thought by everyone else in it to be a noble or royal descent but no, he was just a guy. so what if the king that the group has to deal with was also just a guy? It wouldn't make sense of the king was actually of royal descent and cuz he wouldn't have remembered it, what if he was just a normal guy taking alchemy lessons for a hobby?

It would make sense with what Odile says during the first part of the entire game first act if you will.

From what Odile says here Siffrin could have been taking alchemy and wanted to try and do it again which I'm guessing led to an explosion, Siffrin got hurt, and then scolded by everyone- it would have been funny regardless but besides the point both Siffrin and the KING could have taken up alchemy as a hobby but then again it could have been that the country were a group of alchemists too as well as astrologists on account for the stars, planets, space, the universe, etc.

At one point during the Kings fight the king recognizes the cloak and hat that Siffrin has, sure someone could say that it might have been just a common clothing idea for country or anyone that lived in that country but I got to shut that down Not that I think it's not right or correct it could be but the kings armor does not scream "oh a cloak and hat that is definitely our country's common clothing" no, no it doesn't, not to me anyway which is where I believe the next part of my theory comes in-

(Siffrin got crushed by a rock)

God damn it Siffrin I wasn't finished explaining the theory!

*cue the rest of the family panicking over Siffrin getting crushed by the rock*

Ugh, oh well, give it a moment and the Loop will catch up, anyway continuing from that sudden death.

*time loops back to where Siffrin was in the meadow*

When you go to find the angry key in the third floor of the house you would find a closet that shows a bunch of clothes not really straightforward but that's where the Isabeau part of this comes in, Isabeau mansions that Siffrin's cloak after examining it a little closer is sewn with craft and a backstitch if I'm remembering it correctly.

He then asks if Siffrin knows who this was given to him by or not and of course Siffrin does not remember, but if the king recognized it, and the king wearing armor would know a lot about cloaks, wouldn't it make sense if he gave the cloak to Siffrin when he was a kid? My theory on this is that the cloaks that are made from Siffrin's country are made by the parents and given to their kids as a kind of Rite of passage to prove you're entering the next stage of your life?.

I don't know, this is just a theory that I'm still trying to gut and write this out for the AU to make sense before I start it off, anyway to continue on this thought that every parent makes their kid a cloak and Siffrin's country the cloak that's different has could have been the last gift from his father and he didn't remember it because the country was erased from time from everyone's memories.

It's still there however, The country is still there waiting for the day that someone would come back to it, waiting for the day that Siffrin or the king themselves would come back to try to restore it, try to bring it back to the world, but that's not going to happen on its own and hypothetically or not, the universe knows this, the deity or plane of existence this country researches about knows that will never come to pass, no one no one outside of the country remembers the name, no one can see the country past Vaugarde anymore because something keeps keeping that from happening.

I'd say it's either a very dense fog, or the fact that there's a storm around the country that won't let people outside it see it anymore.

Regardless the country is forever gone until something pushes it to be remembered again and that's where act 4 comes in The moment we're different and the king trying to remember the name of the country is what triggers the visceral color shade of red to make them have a headache- splitting headache to where they both die but pausing on the country remembering name thing.

What does the King do when He and Siffrin try to remember the name, He reaches out to Siffrin with hidden concern (if you would), he says "bright one" and that's where he dies but I don't know if you guys saw this too it could've just been a chance thing and I got it but The king, said Siffrin's, name and Siffrin quickly died a moment after but that was enough, that was enough to trigger it.

Two are people from the same country not strangers but secretly forgotten relatives could trigger the start for the search of the country, the start for the storm or fog to deviate from the country just enough to let the country start to be visible, but that never comes to pass and no I don't mean that trying to remember the country's name didn't cause it to start being visible no I meant sure it did start the country to be visible from the fog or storm but the journey to find the country is not going to happenz cuz Siffrin still in the loop..

And funnily enough, The King's almost aware of the loops by the time Siffrin goes to fight him alone in act 5, this was way after he kills Bonnie and after Euphrasie, The Head Housemaiden, says to Siffrin that the wish was breaking.

The King catches on to this too, He comes to see or notice the in his words "the overpowering cloying scent of cane sugar" and then he asks or better yet says in certainty to Siffrin after seeing he went up the house alone "bright one, this is not the first time you have faced me isn't it?" and that's where it kicks in for him, that's where it kicks in that Siffrin has been looping in time.

And then the fight starts before they even start fighting and you know how the king basically says at the end of his sentence "against someone like you I shouldn't hold back" I don't know this is just me but it sounded like he was a bit proud how strong Siffrin was (and during the end of act 4 when he kills Bonnie he sounds disappointed and angry towards Siffrin).

They're small parts in the fight where the king doesn't hold back but after he uses that one attack to make people see a vision of the future and immediately notices this was not the first time Siffrin has withstood this attack.

It is here the king and notices a realizes He cannot win this it's cuz if this keeps going he's going to be defeated by Siffrin and Siffrin alone and part of him doesn't want to defeat Siffrin, sure it's cuz they're from the same country but but in terms of my AU the KING could have remembered something from his past and he could have remembered something like a memory of a family member, more specifically.. a child, and not just A child cuz that would be weird, why would he remember a random child from his country if he doesn't remember said country? no, the memory was about his child.

And remember how in the book series the cursing I should tell Castle I mentioned Lord Josephándre was just a normal guy, just a guy this relates to the king in ways of comeuppance how he came to Dormont or to Vaugarde, I believe one of the books mentioned that Lord Josephándre had a family- not just parents, but a child of his own I could be wrong That's just my AU and theory.

Add that to the king remembering the cloak and hat that Siffrin has, wouldn't that mean that the KING in reference to Lord Josephándre from the cursing of chateau Castle, is Siffrin's father, and it does not stop there.

The king could have chosen to defeat, eliminate, kill Siffrin, but no he chose to freeze Siffrin in time instead and I know that it's the thought he had where he thought Siffrin was a threat to his victory but he did it to keep Siffrin at bay from his victory and to keep him from self destructing, only to not realize this type of action would not have made Siffrin Loop back in time, he would have been victorious either way but he felt merciful enough pitiful enough in a mocking way to put Siffrin in a frozen, sleeping, state.

And in a twisted way that led to a transition to start and saffron that would lead to him becoming a sadness instead of just being frozen in time and with the same repeating pain or misery or dream, I don't know if the king knew he was actually causing a transition in Siffrin to become a sadness but if Siffrin's friends came way later then when they usually did in the game I'm pretty sure the KING would have been, not just horrified but regretful that he caused such a transition to occur.

If this happened he would have caused Siffrin, the most overpowered guy to have been stuck in a time loop, to become a sadness.. the very bane of terror for all of the country for all of Vaugarde, but it didn't and instead the transition was stopped just in time by Mirabelle and straight after that the group of friends is protected Siffrin and sealed the king away in his own time in his own power and ironically enough the king was okay with it in his mind he almost caused a sadness to occur that he wouldn't have been able to control or stop himself and I don't think he would've been against being frozen in time..

..cause he remembered the country, He remembered his home and he was happy with that.. He remembered the lightless sands of the country, the trees swaying with the wind and their leaves falling to the ground, it was at that moment the king was at peace and not only that but the moment he remembered his country he remembered his family, and better yet in irony or punishment he remembered Siffrin too.

Do remember that Siffrin was a kid when the country disappeared so it would not have made sense if they knew each other as co-workers or friends but instead they could have been family, a family that was torn apart because the country was forgotten, a family who was separated, cast away from each other, place on separate areas of the world until eventually they saw each other again in the final battle to save Vaugarde, and it was against each other.

But hey maybe in another time they could have been family again this is just a theory after all but it's a really good theory regardless and another life they could have had a chance to be family again but maybe instead of another life, maybe in another wish cost chance they could reunite with memory They could have a chance to forgive each other and possibly be family again and maybe that could be going for loop as well because as we all know Loop was another version of Siffrin, their could be a chance for these three to have a family reunion.

Chapter 3: LR

Aww, Miss Melanie is doing what she can for the kids despite the situation.

They know the situation is bad, though. Kids are smarter than we give them credit for.

I'd bet Miss Melanie is faster than people would guess. And I'd bet the kids know it, even if they forget from time to time, because they've been on the receiving end of it.

Wolfwood sure left an impression on the orphanage if they're still asking for him all these years later.

I'm just... gonna savor this panel.

Also, I can't help but wonder with the way the text is placed. Like... it's Miss Melanie speaking, but with Wolfwood in the foreground looking wistful and in a precarious situation, I find myself wondering if he's thinking something similar, but about Vash.

I'm honestly a bit surprised Livio's giving Wolfwood the smoke break. Surprised, but glad, since Wolfwood's taking full advantage of it. He's in no rush to try and take down Livio. There's nothing he's going to savor in this fight.

Livio backstory!!! I like the part where he apparently sees Wolfwood as trustworthy enough for it. Or... possibly dead enough for it.

Stampede Spoilers: It's interesting that they kinda gave this emotional beat to Legato in Stampede. Like, they seem to be writing out Chapel anyway, what with wrapping Eye of Michael more tightly under Knives/Conrad, and Legato's the obvious choice for someone who would get a kick out of the sadism of it all. Plus, of course, it allows that nice parallel language that he uses about not understanding the value of a love between brothers in Stampede. (I'm still not over that line. It's just *chef's kiss*. I hope anime-onlys get a chance to appreciate it after season 2. I hope it makes them twitch as much as it makes me twitch.)

Ah, here are the Eye of Michael guys. These are separate from the mercs. I get it. Not sure they'll stand much of a chance if Livio's down for the count.

People being mean to Adam about his learning difficulties and Adam jsut not realising that people are being mean to him. Chase genuinely feels so bad for Adam and so angry at the people bullying his big brother.

He creates the most horrible I sequence of pranks on the people picking on Adam and at the end of it all, Chase stands with a bucket of rotten meat and says ‘this is what you get for messing with my brother’ and throws the whole thing on the bullies.

I imagine the pranks were all disgusting and ends with most of the students needing to go to hospital because of various reasons (sprained wrists/ankles from slipping and falling, a mix of vinegar and lemon juice being sprayed at them and getting in their eyes, salmonella from the rotting meat which had raw chicken in it, minor chemical burns etc)

People often forget how much of a menace Chase is and how good he is at pranking people. Bro could have taken over if the LR writers had been consistent with the story.
